Favorite Moment as a High School Student

My favorite moment in the 9th grade is actually sing my advisory teacher, Mr. Bui smile for the first time. I don't know why he looked upset all the time, maybe he didn't like his career, maybe he hated my class, who knows that the real mystery in our advisory class. But one day he got the chance to take 10 of his advisory students to Knotts Berry Farm and I got to go. I remember being near Ghost Rider when I got to see him smile. And actually I saw him smile for the rest of the day after that. That day was the only day out of my freshman year that I saw him smile.

My favorite moment in the 10th grade is doing my first marathon. On the day of March 19th 2015. That day I couldn't believe that I was standing in front of the starting line at the Dodger's Stadium. I remember I would jog and jog non stop. The crowd could cheer for the runners that is going through this wild adventure. I also remember the pain that I have on my thighs and feet. It felt intense soreness and pain. So much that I wanted to stop, my mind telling me to give it a rest, I had to resist. There would be moments were I wanted to cry from the pain but my mind was focused on finishing the race. I got to mile 24 and just said, "That's it, I'm jogging the rest of the miles " and I started jogging. I got to mile 26 and I could see the finish line from the distance. I started to sprint my way to the finish line. When I crossed to the finish line, I felt the heavy weight off and me and I felt really proud of myself.

My favorite moment in 11th grade is actually reuniting with friends I had from the tenth grade. Esther, Ana, Priscila and Jennifer invited me back into their circle due to some complications in the past relationship that I had. They thought that I had done wrong to a friend of theirs and they stopped talking to me for a while. We started talking again in AP Biology class and got along really well. To this day we are still friends and I do hope that we don't lost connection in college.

My favorite 12th grade year is getting accepted to my first college choice, University of Utah. I remember it was February 27, 2017, my brother had gotten a letter from the admissions. There was only one letter from U of U. I had gotten nervous because I didn't get a letter. When my brother opened the letter, the letter said that they couldn't accept him because of his grades. I felt bad for him and I was still pretty nervous because I thought that they were supposed to send the letters on that day, whether you get accepted or not. The next day walking home from school I opened the mailbox, not knowing that my letter had arrived. I see a big envelope with the school seal on the front. As soon as I saw that seal, I rushed inside so nervous and I quickly opened the letter and the letter said that I got accepted. I smiled and laughed and shouting to myself, "Yes! Yes! I got in!" I was so excited to tell my parents the good news as soon as I got home.
